1.       Banco Central de Venezuela -
        The Central Bank of Venezuela (Spanish: Banco Central de Venezuela, BCV) is the central bank of Venezuela. It maintains a fixed exchange rate for the Venezuelan bolívar. Nelson Merentes is the President of the Central Bank of Venezuela. Merentes is a representative of Venezuela for the International Monetary Fund. The currency exchange system in Venezuela is known as the "Ancillary Foreign Currency Administration System" or Sicad. The Central Bank is able to issue bonds through the "SITME" market. In 2012, it was reported that $44 million worth of bonds were purchased through SITME in a single day for Petroleos de Venezuela SA.

2.       Banco de Venezuela -
       Banco de Venezuela (abbreviated: BDV) is an international universal bank based in Caracas. It was the market leader in Venezuela until 2007, when it fell to third place, with an 11.3% market share for deposits; its major competitors are Banesco, Banco Mercantil and BBVA Banco Provincial. As of June 2008, it had 285 branches in Venezuela.
        History
        The bank was founded in 1883 as Banco Comercial, which on 2 September 1890 changed its name to Banco de Venezuela. It was initially a loan and taxation financial institution for the Venezuelan government. In 1920, it had already established 10 branches in the country, and due to the lack of a central bank, the Banco de Venezuela became one of the six financial institutions with the right to issue banknotes, until the creation of the Banco Central de Venezuela in 1940. In 1976, BDV inaugurated its hundredth branch nationwide. In 1978 the bank introduced 24 hour customer service, credit cards and new point of sales terminals. The bank opened branches in New York and Curaçao in 1977 and 1979 respectively, and two years later founded a subsidiary, Banco de Venezuela International, to offer a better service outside the country. In 1984, the bank inaugurated its new headquarters in the center of Caracas. On 6 October 2000, BDV purchased 100% of Banco Caracas, becoming the largest bank in the country.

3.       Banco Exterior -
        On January 21, 1956, under the supervision of Banco Exterior de España, a group of Venezuelan and foreign businessmen constituted "Banco Exterior, Compañía Anónima". It is dedicated to the financial intermediation in the fundraising for the purpose of granting credit or financing, and other financial services and operations.

4.       Banco Industrial de Venezuela -
        Banco Industrial de Venezuela (Industrial Bank of Venezuela), BIV, is a Venezuelan bank. In May 2009 the former president of BIV, Luis Rafael Quiro, was arrested for alleged corruption. The bank was at the time the largest state-run financial institution in the country. BIV was established in 1937 with 60% state capital and 40% private. Over time the state took full control, and in the 1960s and 1970s it was an instrument in the government's import substitution policy of industrialization. Venezuela's unlisted state run development bank Banco Industrial de Venezuela was initially incorporated as a joint venture between the public and private sectors to foster industry and commerce. Subsequently, it was seized by the Venezuelan state and went on to be regarded as a financial pillar of Venezuela's import-substitution plan. The bank offers a range of commercial and personal banking products and services, including savings accounts, checking accounts, credit cards and investment, financing, fiduciary and foreign trade services.

5.       Banco Mercantil -
        Banco Mercantil or simply Mercantil is a Venezuelan financial institution based in Caracas, the second largest bank in the country. At the end of 2007, it had 321 branches, 313 of them established in Venezuela.
        History
        Banco Mercantil was founded in 1917 as Banco Mercantil Americano, but in 23 March 1925 is renamed as Banco Neerlando Venezolano. The following year was again established with the name Banco Mercantil y Agrícola (Mercantile and agricultural bank) at the same time the Venezuelan government allow it the permission to issue banknotes together with another five financial institutions due to the unexistence of a central bank. In 1940, the bank stopped the issue of banknotes after the establishment of the Banco Central de Venezuela.
        In 1968, it became the official representative of Diners Club in Venezuela. Since the 1970s the bank achieved the opening of subsidiaries in Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Curaçao, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.
        In 1982, the Mercantil Tower skyscraper was built as the new bank headquarter's. In 1994, it was not really affected by the economic crisis in Venezuela. In 2000, Mercantil bought a lot of financial and insurance institutions as Interbank, Venezolana Entidad de Ahorro y Préstamo, Banco Monagas, Seguros Orinoco, among others. At the end of 2007, Mercantil controlled 12.29% of the banking market share in Venezuela, just behind Banesco.
        Mercantil Banco Universal is a full-service bank founded in 1925 and headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela. It offers a comprehensive range of banking and financial products and services, including deposit products (such as restricted, demand and time deposits, and checking and savings accounts), credit products (including letters of credit, credit cards and commercial, agricultural, car, and construction loans), and investment securities. It also provides credit cards, foreign trade services, factoring, financial lease contracts, and financial intermediation services.

6.       Banco Sofitasa -
       Banco Sofitasa's head quarter is located in San Cristobal, Venezuela. It belongs to the small/medium spectrum of the bank ranking in Venezuela, with a market share of 1%. It has over 100 branches in 18 states of Venezuela. The financial institution provides is a regional bank classified as Universal bank, which means that it can provide all type of financial services that a bank can provide in Venezuela according to the domestic regulations: commercial, retail and investment banking. The bank is a member of the Banking Association of Venezuela.
        History
        Sofitasa was founded in San Cristobal, Tachira State on January 15, 1990 by Dr. Juan Galeazzi and a group of Businessmen, who believed in the region's potentiality. They worked to create an economic engine that could finance regional projects without the need of depending on central systems that were mainly established in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas. This Bank succeeded the previous limited company, SOFITASA, a small financial institution created in the 80s also by Dr. Galeazzi. The financial institution soon after became a solid bank in the Andean region of Tachira, Mérida and Barinas. Having its niche market, the bank started to grow by opening branches in all the main cities of the country. At the end of 2000 and beginning of 2001, Sofitasa Bank decided to expand its services by merging the commercial bank with its related divisions of leasing, real state, investments and inforsystms to form a banco universal (universal bank). This would allow the bank to perform all financial activities that the Venezuelan regulation allows, so it could easily compete in all banking sectors like commercial banking, investment banking, lending, etc. The bank has continuously grow to strengthen its position in the country to become the first regional commercial bank to become universal bank in the western side of the country. In 2012, Dr. Juan Galeazzi, its founder and President past away. Consequently, Dr. Angel Gonzalo Medina, its former Vice-President took the lead of the bank to become the current President.

1.       Agri Bank -

5.       Vietnam Exim Bank -
        Vietnam Eximbank was established on May 24, 1989 under the decision No. 140/CT of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers under the name VIETNAM EXPORT IMPORT BANK and was one of the first joint-stock commercial banks of Vietnam. The Bank officially came into operation on January 17, 1990. On April 6, 1992, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam signed the license No. 11/NH-GP allowing the Bank to operate for a term of 50 years with the registered charter capital of VND50 billion (equivalent to USD12.5 million) and the new name Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (Vietnam Eximbank for short).

       Overview of VietinBank
       - VietinBank was established in 1988 after being separated from State Bank of Vietnam.
       - Being one of the four largest State-owned commercial banks of Vietnam, VietinBank’s total assets account for over 20 percent of the market share of the whole Vietnamese banking system.
